TeenLink Cooking Class - OLD

This class works to improve individuals' independence in daily living skills through beginner and intermediate cooking sessions.


This class works to improve beginner and intermediate cooking skills. Each session is planned and targets kitchen safety, manners, healthy choices, following simple recipes and simple meal prep/cooking. The individuals with disABILITIES who attend this class work together to complete tasks as well as develop peer socialization.  

Program Goals

  • Gain independence in daily living skills
  • Build social rapport with peers

Who the Program Serves

Individuals with intellectual disABILITIES.

Eligibility Requirements

Ages: 10-21 years
Eligibility is determined by a licensed occupational therapist or school district referral.

Program Dates and Times

Six weeks during the summer (meets two times per week)
Days vary by year – Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
